Few places in Florida offer the unhurried, quaint lifestyle of Tequesta. Located just north of the Jupiter Inlet, Tequesta is a coastal Florida town with the historic Jupiter Lighthouse, miles of waterways, Jonathan Dickinson State Park and the condos along the Intracoastal Waterway. Just across the Intracoastal Waterway is Jupiter Island and on the southern tip are condominiums which offer a fantastic coastal lifestyle. One that defines this lifestyle is La Mar.
The 2 bedroom, 2 bath condos in La Mar were built in 1970 and are 1,525 square feet of living space. There are a total of 32 condos located directly on the Intracoastal Waterway with commanding views up and down the waterfront, wrap around porches, covered parking, heated pool and best of all, and deeded beach access. This means you never have to get in your car to hit the beach and these are some of the more picturesque in the state. There are also common dock slips available. At night, you will be treated to a light show by the Jupiter Lighthouse which has been in operation since it was built in 1860.
If you would like to experience more of coastal Florida, 2 minutes north you will find The Nature Conservancy’s “Blowing Rocks Preserve”. Blowing Rocks Preserve is a 73 acre parcel of natural and undeveloped land extending from the famous “Blowing Rocks” on the ocean side to the Indian River Lagoon side with its hiking trails. Having a virgin section of old Florida only adds to the mystique and charm of Jupiter Island and this land can never be developed. In addition to Blowing Rocks, there is the Palm Beach County Park at Coral Cove with guarded beaches, a playground and like everywhere on Jupiter Island hardly ever anyone around. So consider the condos in La Mar for your next home.
