Just north of Jupiter, across the Loxahatchee River, is the Village of Tequesta. While Jupiter has long been known for its country clubs, Tequesta is known for its quiet and peaceful lifestyle. With little or no crime or traffic, easy access to public facilities like the Post Office, city offices and public library, fine restaurants, 10 minutes to the beaches there is nothing not to like about Tequesta. Add to this the fact that it is bounded on three sides by water and it is a jewel of a place to call home.
Centrally located in Tequesta is Riverside Pines, a small community of single family homes. Built during the mid 1980’s, the homes in Riverside Pines are three bedrooms with two baths in design and run about 1,750 to 2,000 square feet in size. Some have private pools, some don’t. Although this community is not right on the Loxahatchee River, it is just one block off it.
Most of the homes are CBS construction which helps on homeowner’s insurance. Due to the year they were built, some will be original inside while others will upgrades like granite and stainless appliances. And again since they were built in the 1980’s the home sites are larger than what you find today.
If you enjoy golf, there are clubs around like Turtle Creek and the Tequesta Country Club with modest fees and summer membership packages. While Tequesta does not have the space for retail and cultural facilities, they are all right across the River in Jupiter. Movie theaters, restaurants, beaches, the Maltz dinner theater are just five minutes away. The Gardens Mall is about 8 miles away. And the school system would be the “A” rated schools of Jupiter.
You might consider living in this area if you like the quiet lifestyle or if you have a family. Tequesta is a wonderful oasis in today’s busy world.
