Chowder Heads in Jupiter, Florida | A Restaurant Review

Looking for a bit of New England in Jupiter, Florida? Missing those Lobster Rolls or the Ipswich Clams of Cape Cod? Well, look no further.

Chowder Heads is a moderately-priced, casual seafood restaurant located in the Driftwood Plaza in Jupiter, Florida. The atmosphere is great inside the eatery or sitting outside by the pond. Most important, the food is delicious! Lots of great appetizers to choose from. We chose the large Ipswich clams with butter dipping sauce along with a sliver of celery skin. Next time we want to go for the Crab Martini with sauce. The New England Clam Chowder was thick with lots of clams. The “soon to be famous” t-shirts that the wait staff were waiting for were right on target.

My wife and I split a Lobster Roll. We were tempted to get it with Mayo but went for the Southern New England Way, served with hot butter. The other item we split was the New Hampshire Salad Wedge. Crisp iceberg lettuce with blue cheese, bacon, beefsteak tomato, and a mouthwatering Vermont Maple Vinaigrette. I usually avoid this dish due to the heavy dressing, but the maple vinaigrette mixed with the blue cheese crumbles was the perfect mix. The kids split the Coconut Shrimp, which were huge. For desert we got the Boston Crème Pie and Apple Crisp. We will absolutely be back again. Too many things to try from McLaughlin Haddock, to oysters crab cakes to whole Maine Lobster.

Chowder Heads is located at 2123 US Highway 1, Jupiter, Florida 33477, and the phone number is (561) 203-2903.
