377 Eagle Drive | Admirals Cove | Jupiter Homes For Sale
December 27th, 2010Santa comes to Jupiter by boat!
November 24th, 2010Here in Jupiter, Tequesta, and Palm Beach Gardens, we have waterfront property everywhere. From oceanfront condos to riverfront estates to homes on private canals, water is everywhere. Some communities like Admirals Cove and Frenchman’s Creek have private docks behind the homes as well as marinas if your yacht needs more room. So with all this waterfront access, Santa comes to Jupiter by boat!
The Annual Holiday Boat Parade is a big treat here. This year’s Parade is Saturday December 4th from 5:00-10:00 and the best viewing locations will be Riverwalk Events Plaza on the Intracoastal Waterway near the Jupiter Yacht Club or Sawfish Bay Park or the Jupiter Lighthouse Park.
To get to Riverwalk, take Indiantown Road east to US 1. Take a right or left on US 1. Go about a block, then turn west onto Coastal Way. Sawfish Bay Park is on Alt. A1A just south of the big bridge over the Inlet on the right side, and the Lighthouse Park is right at the base of the Jupiter Lighthouse.
The Riverwalk location will have a live DJ, performances by the Jupiter Dance Academy, vendors will have food and beverages, and of course an appearance by Santa. Riverwalk is protected, so inclement weather is not an issue. Bring a chair and enjoy the fabulous weather we have this time of year! Riverwalk is also an official Toys-for-Tots location, so bring an unwrapped toy for a needy child.
Many events are held throughout the year at Riverwalk and if you haven’t made it to one yet, make this your first! The weather is great, the music is great, and the parade is always a treat!
Bougainvillaea Begins To Bloom!
November 2nd, 2010It’s that time of year again! The days are a little shorter and drier, so bougainvillaea begins to bloom and brighten up our landscapes with splashy displays of color.
Bougainvillaea is actually a climbing shrub from the island of Bougainville in the south Pacific where it winds its way up through the trees to lie atop the canopy. It is not a vine since it does not have tendrils with which to cling, so it must be trained and contained. Some varieties are trained to climb over wooden arbors or wire frameworks attached to buildings. Worth Avenue, Palm Beach’s most famous shopping area, is known for its decades-old vines which climb up the columns along the street.
For residential and bedding use, some varieties have been developed which remain tight in their growing habit so they are well suited for use as bedding plants. Bougainvillaea adds color to the landscape as evidenced by this planting below seen in Marina Gardens.
Communities where you might see a lot of bougainvillaea this time of year include Admirals Cove in Jupiter, BallenIsles in Palm Beach Gardens and at the Gardens Mall in Palm Beach Gardens.

Environmental Conditions Are Condusive To Feeling Good And Being Happy
October 25th, 2010Scientists have known for a long time that certain environmental conditions are condusive to feeling good and being happy. Being divorced from ringing telephones and the endless drone of the television is one condition. Soaking up positive ions at the beach is another (and yes, we have miles of free beaches!). But the easiest condition that will put a smile on your face is the weather we are having right now.
When the humidity drops and the sky clears, we get these beautiful, October blue skies with a little breeze from the northeast and a high of 78. Here are a few things you can enjoy in the Jupiter/Palm Beach Gardens area on a day like today. First…GET OUTSIDE! Take a walk along the beach with your significant other. Jupiter and Juno Beach are linked by 5 miles of beaches with free public access. Second, GET SOME EXERCISE! None of us gets as much exercise as we should and now is the perfect time to get some more. Third, take some pictures. You know that camera you wish you knew how to use better? Get out and practice with it today. The light is bright and perfect for taking pictures. And maybe combine a trip to the beach with taking some pictures.
If you are a golfer looking to move to the area but haven’t found the perfect house for sale yet, try one of our public courses. A couple of years ago, Jack Nicklaus redesigned the North Palm Beach Country Club (for $ 1) and it’s a gem of a course now and located right along the Intracoastal Waterway. Or try the Abacoa Golf Club or The Florida Club or The Champions at Summerfield.
If you are thinking of joining a private country club, they would love to treat you to a round of golf to help you make the decision to buy in their club, so have your Realtor (or my office) set that up for you. You can choose from clubs like Mirasol, BallenIsles, Admirals Cove or Frenchman’s Reserve. Then, there are the golf clubs of Old Palm, Old Marsh, The Bear’s Club and The Medalist.
Need to check out one of these clubs? Give us a call. This weather doesn’t last all year (just 6 months!), so get out today and enjoy it. And send this along to a friend who is thinking of moving here.
