Admirals Cove in Jupiter offers wonderful new construction. New building in Admirals Cove occurs because of builders or buyers purchasing existing older homes and tearing them down or doing some kind of remodeling. The most extensive type of remodeling commonly done is “taking it down to the studs,” which means a demolition crew comes into the house and literally tears the insides completely out. This often results in a completely different layout. Today, what we see most often is an ‘open floorplan’, eliminating the formal living room and having one large ‘great room’.

I am a boat owner with a significant-sized yacht. What are my options in the Palm Beach Area?

When I run into a family with a 50’-125’ yacht, they want to know about the various marinas, and sometimes they would like to find a home with a dock in their backyard. Our area has a whole slew of options. The gated community that I generally recommend is Admirals Cove in Jupiter, which has golf and boating and a 77-slip marina with floating boat slips up to 125 feet. There is a fueling station, marina store, and sports café serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner, 7 days a week.

90% of the condos and homes have docks, varying in size from 31 feet to over 100 feet. All the docks convey with the property at no extra cost.

There is a yacht club within Admirals Cove for the members to meet, greet, and enjoy multiple functions, as well as planned trips for those boat owners wishing to participate.

In addition, there are 14 tennis courts, a huge fitness facility and spa, multiple card rooms, 3 other dining venues, a dock master, 45 holes of championship golf, and a world class membership.

Besides Admirals, other communities are Harbour Isles, Jonathan’s Landing, Frenchman’s Harbour, and the condos and homes of Old Port Cove, plus a number of small communities dotted around our area.

Which gated communities have activities for families?

I have school-aged children. Please explain which gated communities have activities for families?

I get asked this question all the time. Florida is very different from up north where there are neighborhoods and country clubs. Here, the Jupiter homes and Palm Beach Gardens estates have gated communities, 24-hour security, and loads of amenities and services for the homeowners. Each community seems to have a different profile.

Mirasol: They have homes starting from $500,000 to $4 million, about 1500 homes, 2 golf courses, 18 tennis courts, a dedicated kid’s facility, a large fitness facility, spa, multiple pools, and all the amenities you could imagine. Mirasol real estate is on the newer side as well.

Admirals Cove: They have homes starting from $500,000 to $14 million, about 900 homes, 2.5 golf courses, 14 tennis courts, a dedicated kid’s facility, almost every house has its own dock, a large marina, a giant fitness facility, spa, basketball court, game room, multiple pools, and all the amenities you could imagine.

Frenchman’s Reserve: They have homes starting about $750,000 to $3 million, 1 golf course, lots of amenities, about 450 homes , a large fitness facility, spa, and multiple pools. Homes for sale at Frenchman’s Reserve is a bit of a lower profile and less expensive than the Admirals Cove homes for sale.

The writer knows many families in each of these communities and it’s always nice to speak directly with existing members and ask them your specific questions about schools, etc.
