Although the Abacoa area of Jupiter has 15 different and distinct neighborhoods, few have the intimate charm of the townhouses in San Palermo. Although the three and four bedroom units are spacious at nearly 1,900 square feet, there are only 34 units in all of San Palermo, Abaoca townhouses.
These townhouses are some of the newest in Abacoa and were built in 2003 by DiVosta who built many homes and condominiums in the Jupiter and Palm Beach Gardens area and who has a reputation for excellent construction.
Inside you will find luxury amenities like granite or silestone counters, stainless steel appliances, crown molding and central vacuum systems. Outside accordion hurricane shutters have been installed on some of the units.
In response to the suburban sprawl found in most of South Florida, Abacoa was planned to bring the elements of “work, live, play” into a community of mixed use zoning, covering 2,055 acres The development consists of townhomes, condos, and single family homes as well as great schools. 4 of Palm Beach County’s Schools are located either in or adjacent to Abacoa.
The heart of the Abacoa is the Town Center with retail shops and restaurants, the Roger Dean Stadium (home to the Florida Marlins, the St. Louis Cardinals and the Jupiter Hammerheads), the Abacoa Golf Club and the Florida Atlantic University Honors College. Abacoa has also brought in Scripps Research Institute and the Max Planck Society providing an intellectual and research base and G4S, formerly Wackenhut, providing a commercial base.
Jupiter’s famous beaches are just 4 miles to the east and the fabulous shopping and dining areas of Palm Beach Gardens are only about 10 minutes to the south. Although with all Abacoa and San Palermo have to offer, you may find that you really never need to venture far from home.
